UNIFORMS

• The GLAC competition uniform is green with a navy blue strip and the GLAC logo on the back.

• Kingsway LAC shorts are preferred or plain navy blue shorts with no visible logo.

• Athlete number bibs must be worn for every competition.

• Suitable athletics/running footwear is compulsory.

• Replacement athlete number bibs are available for purchase

(PLEASE NOTE: a new athlete number will be assigned with the new bib).

• U11-U17 athletes must acquire a Spikes Licence from Kingsway LAC for spiked shoes.

• Uniforms are not required for training.

• Competition uniforms must be purchased at training.

GLAC singlets are $25 and GLAC tees are $30.

TRAINING

• Parents are required to be present at every training session with their child/ren.

• Siblings who are not registered athletes must be supervised by parents and not interfere with or impede training activities.  Dogs must also be kept at a safe distance.

• Tiny Tots do not train with the club.

• Parents may be asked to assist during training sessions with equipment setup or pack down, or helping coaches.

• There is no training on public holidays or in severe weather conditions (heavy rain or extreme heat).​

• All winter training (cross country and road walks) is held at Kingsway LAC. This is organised by Kingsway Centre, not individual clubs.

VOLUNTEERS

Little Athletics is organised and operated by volunteers.

Parents of all registered little athletes are required to assist at training or at competition.

Every parent is an important and valued part of our sport and community.

Without volunteers, our sport could not continue.

​

All volunteers must have a current Working with Children Check.

Please speak with our Club Administrator if you have any questions or need assistance.

​

Our club has a parent roster for duty at Kingsway each Saturday. Please don't hesitate to contact our committee if you're unable to fulfil your rostered duty. We can help with a swap or there may be another area where you can help.

Our duties may change over time but we appreciate all the help our parents provide at both training and competition.

KINGSWAY LITTLE ATHLETICS CENTRE

​

Greenwood LAC competes at Kingsway Little Athletics Centre

every Saturday during the summer season (with Twilight competitions on specific Friday evenings).

Our club tent is located on the hill by the Long Jump pits.

All athletes are encouraged to arrive early for Athlete Warm-Up at 7:15am as events begin at 7:30am.

All athletes, parents, spectators and officials must adhere to the rules and regulations of Kingsway LAC and Athletics West.

All results are available on ResultsHQ at the conclusion of the day (some results may be delayed).
